Dana C. Ashford
received her undergraduate degree in business management from Georgia State University in 1988 and her juris doctor degree from the Georgia State University College of Law in 2000.  She began her legal career at Russell & Herrera, P.C. in 1992 as a paralegal and worked full-time while attending law school.  In 2000, following her graduation from law school, she joined Russell & Herrera as an associate attorney practicing in the areas of family and fiduciary law.  She became a member of the firm in 2006.  In 2010, she formed The Ashford Law Firm, LLC.

Ms. Ashford brings to The Ashford Law Firm over eighteen years of legal experience in the areas of family and fiduciary law.  She has participated in all aspects of civil litigation and appeals and has presented oral arguments before the Supreme Court of Georgia and the Georgia Court of Appeals.

Experienced in all forms of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration, and collaborative law, Ms. Ashford is a frequent speaker and presenter on the use of collaborative law in civil disputes.  Collaborative law is a method of dispute resolution where the parties agree not to litigate the case in an attempt to reach a mutually agreeable settlement through the use of collaborative professionals.  Collaborative law has been very successful in the area of domestic relations, and the practice is now expanding to other areas of the law, including probate and estate issues.

Ms. Ashford has the expertise and the experience to analyze your case and recommend whether your case is appropriate for resolution through an alternative dispute forum, or whether litigation should be the course of action.
